Perspective

I slightly different perspective on the Parry angle i usually adopt. This was during a shoot with the Slide 65 crew a few weeks back before I legged it to Morocco. Ill add a few more from the shoot in the next few days. Pazza once again proving 'his excellence'.

Were Back

Arriving back late last night the SSC elite crew have achieved something huge and brand new for the school. A once in a lifetime opportunity for some of these surfers to travel to Morocco and train on some of the best waves Africa has to offer.
We are so proud of what the group achieved in Morocco and look forward to planning the 2012 trip.
Look out for more pics but for now I'm very busy editing.

Maroc

Its been a few days without word fro the crew in Morocco and for that i apologise. 11 groms and 5
'responsible" adults has been the most fun. Good waves, weather and Moroccan goodness and allowed our trip to be a success so far.
With one day to go and video, photo and general analysis of the trip we are set for the best day of the week to be our last. "Shut up an shred" is the groms moto. Not arguing with that.

Aquabumps

Each night around about this time (12am) my iPhone buzzes and I open my mail knowing Uge has emailed me his latest morning captures.
Uge, based is sydney captures images of Bondi beach between 7-8am each day. Good, bad, sun, rain, surf or flat its all there for you to see. Now based in cornwall on my very own patch of sand I feel inspired to rise early and return the favour.
I wonder if Uge would feel as compelled to read my blog?

I was very kindly given one mans entire collection of Hasselblad's forum  magazine.
subscribed to by Hasselblad purists I stare at my bookshelf now filled with incredible issues and my Blad resting proudly above on a shelf of its own. What a geek!!!

Beautiful magazines and Im not entirely sure how long its going to take me to read everyone.

MAGS

Its taken 3 weeks for me to read 2 mags. I simply can't thumb through a surf mag especially when the cover looks like this. This remains unopened 4 days after purchase. Sat neatly on my coffee table, next to my still wrapped wavelength mag, as soon as I'm able to yank myself away from this pooter i'll unveil this beauty.

Just noticed theres a december issue of SURFER on the shelves.
Thats soooo bad.

Samuel J

Many will know him as surf instructor sam, the dolphin whisperer or the surf school Hippie. Good friend and fellow coach Mr. Samuel J is off again.
Bringing to the school, humour, stretching and fruit tea, Sam once again has spent another season to take his tally to 8 fine years at SSC.
Over the past week we managed to find time to film his new music video for 'riding the storm'.
This still came from some of the footage. sunshine, wind, rain and early sunsets all helped challenge the filming but the edit's looking good so far.
Sam is off the Brazil for another winter this time to support his childhood hero Ben Harper. This is huge for Sam and I only wish I could be there to witness it.
thanks again for another season brother and look forward to May to start it all over again.

Pacific Longboarder

Stoked with this piece in PLB. Good friend Russ Pierre included some of my images in a press release. Cheers Russ. made my day.

Parry Overload.

It seems everywhere I look James Parry is there.
Pondering my have selections of daily blogs this morning and my screen fills with an Image of James in Salinas by jj wessell on the quality peoples blog.

If the sun had been shining this morning I might even have had more pics of JP. Not the case.

Paz is back

Its been a while since I've been in the sea with this over sized grommet. James arrived back from California a few days ago and I've been gagging to shoot again. A busy surf school, video shoot and changeable surf has hindered activities.
Maybe next week? I leave you with this shot we got earlier this year. Maybe my favourite of Paz.

ACADEMY

Yesterday was cold. So cold that as we walked up the steps at Gwithian I nearly cried and Oran announced to the group that he "was upset". Quote of the day by far.

Regardless the boys shredded again and it just goes to show that pushing each other as a group is the best way to improve their skills.
Connor, relatively new to the club and stand up surfing is fast becoming a stand out. He's competitive, however he shows grit and self discipline which I'm excited about. Isaac, giving us the shaka, is a naughty grom with heaps of talent and oozes charisma. A bunch for the future for sure.
Cheers for tuning in again. Ill be on it now I'm home and with small waves and offshore winds ill be in the sea again to snap some water stuff.

Soooper 8

So the last time I filed a reel through my Nizo was nearly a year ago. The increasing cost and time it takes to get the film back was over shadowed by my new Canon 7D and its superb video quality. Yet a few days ago at an auction in Penzance, I spotted the cleanest, best looked after pair of cine cameras.
Quids in (literally £2) I scored both and theres no stopping me.
Film on its way and a nice little trip to France next week, expect a short edit soon.
