SUMMER IN FEBRUARY

The strangest week ever. Saturday saw me photographing the charity Shelterbox during a training session in a portakabin near the Lizard. The next minute I'm filming a video for The Cornish way, an accommodation site run by Kelvin Collins and his wife Amanda. Amazing quality accommodation on the cliffs of Gwenver. Check them out.

To finish it all off, I find myself on a film set dressed up in Pre-war garb, on the cliffs of Prussia Cove along side George, Dave and star and producer Dan Stevens. A fun day in braces at the races.
Armed with nothing more than my iPhone I tried getting some snaps.
Keep an eye out for Summer in February. Coming to a cinema near you, with me in the background.

OFF THE WALL

One film for all pleasures. I love this online flick. Does it for me.

Yesterday was cold. Didn't deter 8 of SSC's best groms on training night. Will they ever learn?

U G E

Ive mention him before but this weeks images from Aquabumps have been something else.
Uge the man behind the lens at the daily photo website based in Sydney, has been in Hawaii for the last few weeks. Knowing how much swell they've had has kept me longing for the next update from Uge and his trusty rig. Check him out and subscribe for the best email your likely to get daily.

Rich Emerson, Liam Nichol and James Parry all pooped after a nice cool off in the Atlantic.
Those hats look warm.

S L O T T E D

Liam 'buster' Nichol and his new slide 65 shaped by James. Didn't seem to take Liam long to get his groove on. This was just one of many little barrels Liam and James slotted themselves into. These mid lenghts are the mutts you know what.

Supposed to be back at Uni, a nice bit of swell and sunshine kept the bearded poet home for a little longer.
Mike Lay, a vision of neon, returned to Liverpool along with the swell.
Come back Mikey and bring the sun!

Josh Daniels international man of mystery. Phillack boy and blows his own trumpet....in a band! (Greydog) JD is  a man of many talents.
Relatively new to logging he's already no slouch and dons his latest Slide 65 with style.
Have really struggled to get any decent ones of Josh but pretty stoked with these nuggets.

N A S A L

The slide 65 star JP ever more familiar with that nose.
We spent an evening with Rob, Ulrika and the slide 65 massive a few nights ago watching the Koala Chronicles in which James features. His section was insane and proved that even in Australia those pommie limbs are worth filming.
yo digity!

R E F L E C T I O N

On reflection 2011 was quite productive. After 3 or 4 years of feeling incredibly busy with engagements, weddings ( including my own), business and travel, 2011 felt relatively chilled.
However, after a brief moment of reflection I realised how long 2011 was. A year ago I was about to set off on a Maldivian honeymoon, whilst the Japanese and Christchurch earthquakes had yet occurred and The UK was deep in recession. Osama Bin Laden and Gaddafi were captured and Killed and riots broke out in UK cities. Will and Kate were Married and the man behind the invention we all can't live without Steve Jobs died aged 56.

On a personal level we experienced one of the most successful years at the surf school with a busy summer a Moroccan surf trip for our elite and a new branding exercise that has been hugely successful.
I embarked on wedding videography with relative success and a full diary for 2012.
Gained my first published surf images and several magazine jobs.

2012 promises to be a year with little certainty other than my desire to work hard and capitalise on the foundations laid in 2011.
I have a wonderful family and team and feel very blessed to be entering a new year with such excitement and anticipation.

Happy New year all and thank you for your support in advance.
