Rich Emerson is a man of the ocean and when not found logging he can be found a few miles out to sea on this monster paddle board. I grabbed him the last time the sun shone just before he disappeared for a few hours. Rich is off today to Brighton for the paddle around the Pier.

COAST AWARDS

Nominated for Coast magazines Best Water sports provider in the UK we arrived from California and headed straight into the centre of London yesterday to partake in the ceremony. Jet-lagged and resigned to the fact much larger organisations were likely to take home the top spots - I sat sipping my oj only to find Sennen surfing centre had been awarded silver/second place/runners up, what ever sounds best.
We have never been nominated for an award before and would like to thank Coast Magazine and writer/surfer Alex Wade for the nomination.
More importantly it sounds like a shed load of you put pen to paper and mouse to screen to help us beat other surf schools and activity centres.
Welsh water sports company TYF based in pembroke took top spot and we were stoked to be the highest places surf school in the UK.
The Minack theatre (best attraction), St Ives (best seaside resort) and Porthgwidden Cafe (best beach cafe) took first place in their respective categories
