Mug shot of my pooch

Morgan Maasen

If you spend as much time as me ploughing through the internet, searching for worthwhile blogs, sites or facebook profiles, you'll undoubtedly find the odd gem amongst the rubbish.
Morgan Maassen, a young talent from California caught my attention the other day and if he was female I would be buying an engagement ring. Incredible photos and a wizz on photoshop this kid is amazing.
Here are my two favourites all though there are hundreds just as good on his site.

LOKI

The latest addition to the Brea Vean Surf House and Muir Family. Loci, a 9 week old Cockapoo, already has her sights set on dominating the surf dog world.
3 weeks and she's on the beach woohoo!

While the surf still isn't up to much or too much in fact, I have found myself exploring breaks all around the coast and appreciating the scenery that I would have otherwise missed.

Inside or out?

With my chicken coup not lasting the night, I wasn't surprised to see Lattes and Hot chocolates with the works not been served on the balcony of the Beach restaurant.
Braving the elements I ventured out to try and capture the impressive display of ocean and wind.
Not doing it much justice, the biggest surprise was seeing the balcony empty despite the sunshine....strange!

That way!

Sun, surf and no one else.....perfect!

Hec-tic!

I love this shot. As the very proud owner of a water housing I couldn't imagine having to deal with the photographers crowd. Its hard enough as a surfer. Jamie O giving the boys something to fight about.

Wales Boyo

While the Westerley's blew last week a few of us could be found white water rafting, pub crawling and wearing tweed in Lampeter, Wales. Celebrating Dave Shep's 30th Birthday....poor old chap, we missed the rubbish surf but didnt stay dry. I believe Hugo was the first to fall in.

Go Hugo!!

Last week Sam, Hugo and myself venture to a lesser known spot for a photo session. Poor Hugo was surfing his new board and the wave looked intent on smashing it whenever possible.
To get any worthy shots I had to call Hugo into them and its amazing what peer pressure does.
Hugo, Sam, Me an boards all in tact.
phew!

Magnum

Having spent most of last Wednesday being dragged around Truro, I settled myself in bookshop with a coffee and possibly the best photography book I'll ever lay my hands on.
Anyone who knows about the famous 'Magnum' photographers agency will appreciate this book. A steel at only £20 you really cant go wrong.

Sun at last

Just a few I snagged when sun and surf partied on the same day!
