W A C K O

Jackson "wacko Jacko" Higgs enjoying every minute of our weeks stay in Morocco. Jacko's spent so much time in Morocco he's practically Moroccan.
Jackson was integral in the trip and it was great to see him getting some waves even with the pressures of taking 11 groms along for the ride.

COAST AWARDS 2012

Best water-sports provider
Sennen Surfing Centre, Sennen Cove, Cornwall Run by likeable, helpful Dave Muir on an impossibly beautiful beach, this surf school eschews ‘cool’ in favour of getting people up and riding (www.sennensurfingcentre.com).
We have been shortlisted for The coast awards 2012 as Best British Watersports Provider.

This is huge for us as although we work tirelessly to promote safe fun surfing we are rarely recognised for our efforts.
We would love to ask you to vote, share and support our nomination.

SHEP

Along for the ride came trusty 'Senior' instructor Dave Shephard. A joy to have a long especially as the groms had someone to abuse for the week.
Dave surfed hard and was the first to slot himself into a little Moroccan Barrel.
He's already booking time off for the SSC elite trip 2012.

End of Summer

Some recently developed film reminded me of some late summer fun. I spent the last few weeks hanging with Buster and his camera. A recent purchase of warm clothing and my fire very much a glow leaves these as very distant memories. In the mean time ill enjoy the reminder of late summer and the heat of my very cozy fire.

Frame grabs

The edit has started and Im overwhelmed by the amount of footage we gathered during our week in Morocco. Here's a few frame grabs to tease the groms.

Head Slider

A few weeks ago now I managed a morning session at Perran with the slide massive!
At the time i got a few good ones and then had to fly off to Morocco with the surf school.
Since my return Ive been blessed with praise for images of Mikey, Pazza, Caf and Josh. Im stoked even though I wasn't overly stoked with the images.
Whats incredible is that these four logsman are all riding on fine crafts built by Mr. Rob Wright of Slide 65.
Im sure Rob is made up to have his team of talent as I am to be lucky enough to be supported by such a fine group of lads.

Thanks for all the support Rob.
Keep up the good work rob and I'm sure the boys will reciprocate.

W A

I turned on my computer this morning to be shocked by this image taken by Oscar Adrian of a bush fire in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. I have friends in this part of Australia and having visiting this incredible part of the world I hate to think how it has been affected.
My thoughts go out to those you have lost everything.

Perspective

I slightly different perspective on the Parry angle i usually adopt. This was during a shoot with the Slide 65 crew a few weeks back before I legged it to Morocco. Ill add a few more from the shoot in the next few days. Pazza once again proving 'his excellence'.

Were Back

Arriving back late last night the SSC elite crew have achieved something huge and brand new for the school. A once in a lifetime opportunity for some of these surfers to travel to Morocco and train on some of the best waves Africa has to offer.
We are so proud of what the group achieved in Morocco and look forward to planning the 2012 trip.
Look out for more pics but for now I'm very busy editing.

Maroc

Its been a few days without word fro the crew in Morocco and for that i apologise. 11 groms and 5
'responsible" adults has been the most fun. Good waves, weather and Moroccan goodness and allowed our trip to be a success so far.
With one day to go and video, photo and general analysis of the trip we are set for the best day of the week to be our last. "Shut up an shred" is the groms moto. Not arguing with that.

Aquabumps

Each night around about this time (12am) my iPhone buzzes and I open my mail knowing Uge has emailed me his latest morning captures.
Uge, based is sydney captures images of Bondi beach between 7-8am each day. Good, bad, sun, rain, surf or flat its all there for you to see. Now based in cornwall on my very own patch of sand I feel inspired to rise early and return the favour.
I wonder if Uge would feel as compelled to read my blog?
